Karachaganak Petroleum Operating announced the supply of the first batch of Kazakhstan-made metal structures to the Karachaganak field, a Khabar 24 correspondent reports. They are made in Kazakhstan, at the Karasai machine-building plant of PiESAi, specifically for the project to remove production restrictions on gas. The Karasai Engineering Plant was built and equipped according to international standards, which ensures high quality products manufactured, including those commissioned by international projects in the oil and gas industry. The tender for the supply of metal structures at KPO was held in the summer, the first contract provides for the manufacture of more than 2 thousand tons of structures. Arman Umbetov, general director of the Karasai machine-building plant: – The largest first order of the plant was a contract with KPO for the supply of 2 thousand tons of metal structures for the project to remove gas restrictions on the Karachaganak processing complex. This order allowed KPO to load the plant with work for the whole year. It is symbolic that the first carriage of metal structures was shipped on December 11, 2018 on the Day of Industrialization, exactly one year after the plant was opened by the President of the country during the national teleconference. For the first time, KPO uses rail transport for delivery, which allows KPO to sharply reduce the risks of accidents when organizing transportation from the manufacturer. Marco Lombardi, manager of KPO project to remove gas production restrictions (SOG): – Today we see the real result of the work of domestic machine builders, to whom KPO entrusted the production of high-quality steel at a modern factory in Almaty region. Transportation of metal structures will be carried out by rail. The first delivery of locally produced steel structures to Karachaganak is an incentive for domestic companies to develop and produce new goods and services. KPO intends to continue to attract domestic producers in the implementation of its projects.
